Pitch Club is a new furious formula event designed to boost entrepreneurship, innovation and growth.

Following a warm up interview session with an experienced investor or entrepreneur, Pitch Club provides an opportunity for 9 ventures (and 1 'Lucky pitch' drawn on the night) to step into a miniature boxing ring where they have 90 seconds to 'pitch' their idea to a crowd of investors, business angels, VCs and other entrepreneur enthusiasts. The 3 or 4 finalists (selected through group voting) have 5 more minutes with the audience before the winner is chosen by all.

The objective is simple. Bring together a focused group of entrepreneurs, investors and advisers and provide an exclusive and spontaneous environment for them to interact, showcase ideas and promote business endeavours.

Testimonials from Pitch Club sponsors and attendees:

What our sponsors are saying:

  • The concept was very exciting - to have these people get on stage and pitch their hearts out. Drama in real life! Many thanks to all who played a part in getting this to Adelaide. The event delivered what it had promised - a radically different means of engaging those with ideas and those with money. And those who can play a part to help commercialisation.” Kimon Lycos, MD Mihell & Lycos, Pitch Club Adelaide ambassador
  •  “Congratulations on a fantastic product. I think you're on to a winner with the format - it works really well. (...) I am delighted that we could be associated with this first event of yours in Adelaide. It reached a new set of faces and hopefully will generate some leads for those that attended.” Gerry Cawson Partner Minter Ellison Lawyers, Pitch Club Adelaide sponsor.
  •  “I just wanted to say thank you again for an excellent event, made more so from my perspective by the exceptional quality of logistics, communication and shared vision. While Pitch Club is a great concept, it is the ability to preserve that integrity through its remote delivery that makes it a repeatable winner. So, suffice to say it was a triumph, I thought it clearly revealed gaps in skills in our entrepreneurial sector and there is a strong willingness to make it a regular event on the northern and southern calendar.” Polly McGee, DEDT, Pitch Club Tasmania sponsor and co-MC in Launceston.
  •  “I really felt the venue was perfect, the way it was set up was terrific, and it really looked great, also I certainly understand the amount of work you guys have spent setting up this type of event, well done, you all are certainly a very professional and well drilled team, again well done...” Autech Darren Alexander (www.autech.com.au), Pitch Club Tasmania sponsor and Guest presenter.
  • “Well done. It was a very entertaining and enjoyable/informative evening. Look forward to discussing your next event in Melbourne” David Napier, Melbourne Docklands Digital Harbour, Melbourne Pitch Club Sponsor and Event Host.

What our event and workshop attendees are saying (via online feedback)

  • “I would like to personally congratulate you all on a powerfully successful evening, a format that will only become stronger and a gift to the business world that will be, in the finest form of flattery, imitated.”
  • “I thoroughly enjoyed myself and was incredibly impressed by the concept, the manner in which people conducted themselves and the overall organisation of the event".
  • "Hearing ten different pitches was very interesting and learning that you can only expect '30' seconds to capture a potential investors interest."
  • "What I found refreshing, was that it is an area that one can pitch there business without the stress of watching their P's and Q's. Pitch Club will become more unique as the attendees are very accepting of those that don't have the gift of presentation, though may have a brilliant concept. I was observing from a distance and I was amazed, It was like a comradeship, of cheering and encouragement. AWESOME. Well done, this is a winner.”
  • “The Pitch Club turn up showed that Anthill has a good draw on punters and that budding entrepreneurs are looking for a forum to practice saying their pitch out-loud.”
  • “Love the concept.... About time someone did this.”
  • "This is a really good idea, out of left field. It's refreshing to see a bit of spark in promoting innovative ideas, which has become increasingly bureaucratic."
  • "Great lively atmosphere, conducive to great networking. The somewhat informal and crowd-involved nature of the pitching was a refreshing approach."
  • “THANK YOU for an incredibly enjoyable evening and introduction to the business rituals of pitching and networking.”
